Is psychotherapy right for me?

Psychotherapy or counseling is a great way to help people get to know themselves better, get extra support through challenging times and learn how to better handle those challenges in your life.  One of the best ways to discover if it is right for you, is to schedule an initial consult. I will ask some questions, you can ask questions and by the end of the call we will know if it’s the next step for you to take. The tools I use are research based and can help with depression, anxiety and addiction.

Do you participate with my insurance provider?

I am an out -of- network provider for all other insurance companies.  You can contact your insurance provider and inquire about your out -of-network benefits. I provide a superbill for you to get reimbursed and there is a company you can work with to get support with the billing. I am always happy to help answer any other questions you have.

What is the cost of psychotherapy?

A 45-minute session is $185.  A 90-minute hypnotherapy session is $275.  Group rates vary depending on group.  Sliding scale is available on a limited basis. I currently accept cash, check, venmo and all major credit cards

What is your cancellation policy?

When you make an appointment, you will have a regularly assigned appointment time on a weekly basis. It is very important that you contact me as soon as possible in the event you cannot maintain your appointment. I respect your time and commitment to therapy and require that you pay for the time reserved without at least 48 hour notice of the cancellation.

What can I expect?

After our initial consult call, we will find a regular appointment time to meet for your psychotherapy appointment. In our first session we will develop a plan to help you with your depression, anxiety or addiction. I will be following up with you over the course of our time together to ensure that you are being helped by our work together. You won’t be in therapy forever either.

Will I remember my hypnotherapy session?

Yes!  The level of hypnosis used in hypnotherapy is not so deep that you will not be able to remember what took place.  You will remember your entire session and will be engaging with me throughout the session.  Hypnosis is just a relaxed, trance state that we are in and out of throughout the day.
